Peterson Old Dublin Pipe Tobacco - 50g Tin

Peterson's Old Dublin is a superb blend of Cyprian Latakia with Gold Virginia and sweet Oriental from Greece. The flavours are well balanced and each leaf can be identified by their taste and aroma. There is no forcefulness from the Latakia of this mixture and it doesn't dominate with its smokiness. There is sweet spiciness from the Oriental which leads throughout, backed up by the Virginia's sweetness and more grassy, earthy flavours. The Latakia is there providing its rich smokiness like a camp fire smouldering in the background.

Inside the tin you are met with a delightful aroma of smoky spiciness. The tobacco is golden brown to mid brown ribbon, with ribbons of black interspersed. It's an easy tobacco to work with and takes light well. It burns thoroughly leaving a fine grey ash. If you are not a fan of overpowering Latakia blends but enjoy smoky flavours then give Old Dublin a try. It would work well as an all day smoke.
